Hiya to whoever is reading this,
This is another part of my Achieving Resolutions series and as another popular resolution was to get higher school grades, I thought I’d share my best tips for revision and any other things I do when I’m revising for exam week.
1) Quizlet
Quizlet is an amazing app that created study cards and tests you on them! I’ve been using it for about 3 months and finding it so much easier to revise as a result. It works really well for language revision but works equally well for other subjects (like science too!)
2) Breaks
I know, taking a break during revision the day before the exam, may seem unhelpful but taking regular breaks can help reduce the stress, decrease the likelihood of panic attacks and make you feel more on top of your revision. Taking a breath of fresh air for 15 mins, after every 1/2 hour of revision, it is so helpful to help the information stick in your head and let’s you step away from the stress!
After you’ve had a break, quickly go over the stuff you did before the break just to make sure it sunk in and then continue as planned!
3) Plan
Planning your revision makes sure you don’t forget anything and let’s you have plenty of time to balance revision, and fun stuff with you friends too! I try to plan my revision as soon as possible and try to cover a few topics a day. Also being able to tick off what I’ve achieved feels so satisfying!
4) Reward yourself
Remembering to reward yourself when you’ve done a certain amount of revision of relaxes nerves and gives you something to work towards. I suggest having a LUSH bath as a reward as it means you can stay healthy and enjoy it for longer! But by all means nibble on your favourite snacks to cheer yourself up!
As I’m writing this on my phone, it is really slow and glitching, I’m gonna have to end this post here 😕

As long as you don’t cram and constantly revising even before the exams, say 2 to 3 hours a day, then you can definitely afford to take a break one day before the exams. Sadly though, I only learned to do this during grad school! 🙂

Haha yeah!
If I’ve forgotten about a small class vocab test, cramming is so hard!

I have a study method that’s helping me: interval study. 40 min study, 20 min ballet practice. Have to be disciplined and stick to the times no matter where you are at.
Works a treat!

Yeah, if you don’t stick to it, it gets so stressful! Thankfully I only did that once!

Neat advice. Haha although for me my mind works in a sort of unorganized way. It makes me more at ease somehow. Kind of like chaos from order. So basically I have a rough study plan and its super flexible. It goes by what I feel like doing, so if I feel like I’m in the zone for Lit, then I might do it for quite a long time. But I cover the others up naturally because after all, I’ll get bored of Lit at some point in time. I think this flexibility makes me more efficient and happy haha. But I agree with your other 3 points fully 🙂
